Overview

This policy explains what Echosphere collects, why we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, user ID, login provider, and authentication records. Apple may provide a private relay address when you choose Hide My Email.
• Reading activity: topics followed, article views, saved stories, echoes, recommendations, feedback, and reading preferences.
• Device and app information: device type or identifier, operating system, app version, language, network type, and push token if you enable notifications.
• Diagnostics and support: performance, crash information, and information you submit to support.

How we use information

We use information to provide and personalize your reading experience, recommend relevant content, analyze performance, improve reliability and features, send requested notifications or important service messages, maintain security, and prevent fraud.

Sharing and tracking

We do not sell personal information, use it for third-party advertising, or track you across other companies' apps and websites. We disclose only the information needed to hosting and infrastructure providers; analytics, diagnostics, and notification providers such as Firebase, Sentry, and Expo when configured or used; and authorities when required by law or needed to protect safety.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and reading data while your account is active so the service can function. You can permanently delete your account in Echosphere under Settings → Account → Account data. When deletion completes, Echosphere removes the account and associated operational data and resets the app's analytics identifier. Aggregated or de-identified analytics that no longer identifies your account may remain. Limited records may remain only when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or routine backup rotation.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we process, including encrypted network connections and access controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may update your profile, control notifications through Echosphere and iOS Settings, delete your account in the app, and request access, correction, or other applicable privacy rights by contacting us.

Children

Echosphere is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
